UNBROKEN – David Goggins Motivation

In this video David Goggins and Jocko Willink discuss the importance of suffering if we truly want to grow and reach our full potential. David starts of the video discussing the power that our mind has over us. He says that our minds are made to keep us away from harm and discomfort which then keeps us from growing and learning more about ourselves. David says that the only way for us to grow is to push ourselves into uncomfortable situations that forces our brain to expand and engage the parts of our mind that we are not used to using.

Jocko then continues on by saying the only way to learn and to grow is to be broken. He says that most of us see the dark times, the times that we are broken as a bad thing and all hope is lost. But Jocko says that these times are also an opportunity for us to rise and show what we are really made of.
