Justin Tooley – Legislative Assistant to Representative Jim Cooper (D-TN)

Justin Tooley is a Legislative Assistant for Congressman Jim Cooper (D-TN). He currently advises the Congressman on Judiciary, Labor, Education, and Technology/Telecommunications issues. Justin began his career as a Teach For America Corps Member in Memphis, TN.  He served as Chief of Staff to the Assistant Commissioner for Data and Research at the Tennessee Department of Education from 2012 to 2014.  In that role, he managed the state’s assessment and accountability program and supported the transition to the Common Core state standards and assessments. Justin received his B.A. in Economics and Political Science from the University of Louisville and a M.P.P. from the University of Michigan.
