The Fresno girls’ basketball team Lady Heat was excited to play at Kobe Bryant’s Mamba Sports Academy in the Amateur Athletic Union tournament last Sunday, the day Bryant’s helicopter crashed. The girls could hardly wait to come face-to-face with the NBA legend and his 13-year-old daughter, also known as “Gigi.” As the Fresno Lady Heat was gearing up for the match, word came of the deadly helicopter crash. Some of the players told Inside Edition they felt shocked, frozen and heartbroken.
