Exciting times to come – Jaguar Collaborative

In this video, you’ll learn more about a unique partnership between Augusta University Health, home to one of the nation’s oldest medical schools, and Cerner Corporation, a world leader in health information technology (IT).
“Our strategic vision in our community is becoming a model of health care delivery – not only here in Augusta but in the state as well as the nation,” said David Fallaw, MD, chief medical information officer. “And I think our collaboration is going to enable that.”
In August 2014, the health system (then called Georgia Regents Health) deepened its longstanding relationship with Cerner by forming the Jaguar Collaborative, an alignment between the two organizations that’s focused on advancing the health system’s strategic goals.
In the first year of the collaborative, Cerner helped Augusta University Health solidify its IT infrastructure, improve the responsiveness of its help desk and extend digital connections out into the community. Future goals include strengthening the organization’s revenue cycle and population health offerings.
“We’ve come a long way in a year, a tremendous way,” Dr. Fallaw said. “The leap in our coming year is going to be even more substantial … we have exciting times to come.”
