Xero CMO Andy Lark shared serious knowledge during his Xerocon Denver presentation – and it’s all about change in the connected era and going beyond accounting:

“One of the most common misperceptions about the future of accounting and bookkeeper is that we’re increasing technology … I think that’s just nonsense.” All professions evolve, and the accounting and bookkeeping industry is no different. “It will always maintain its high­integrity background as the source of truth. But at the same time, become an increasingly­valuable enabler of small business growth and success. That’s an amazing opportunity for every accountant and bookkeeper out there.”

And this opportunity goes well beyond accounting:
