What airlines are hiding from you and probably themselves | Alireza Yaghoubi | TEDxKL



Alireza plans to change how we fly.

Alireza Yaghoubi is an award-winning designer and entrepreneur who is internationally recognized for designing AirGo, an ergonomic passenger environment that has been described as “the future of airlines seating”.
He is also the co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of a Singapore-based startup named AirGo Design which is currently developing new technologies for a more comfortable travel experience with smaller carbon footprint. The company is the first to advocate a major transition in the travel industry since the 1960’s.
At the age of 24, Alireza is one of the youngest scientists in the world whose works have appeared on the front cover of many prestigious journals such as those of Royal Society. His broad scope of research ranges from fundamental studies on synthesis of new two dimensional materials to more practical applications such as renewable energy and biomedical implants.

He has also served as a reviewer for leading publications in the fields of chemistry, engineering and dentistry. Due to his exceptional achievements, prior to his graduation as the Frederic Barnes Waldron student of mechanical engineering, he was appointed as a senior scientist at the Center for High Impact Research in University of Malaya.
