Utility’s Generation 2 Police BodyWorn™ Camera Features

BodyWorn™ has the ability to automatically start recording in response to a number of events. There is no need to be preoccupied with the thought of whether or not your police body camera was activated during pivotal moments.

With BodyWorn, you can keep your mind focused on what you were trained to do – protect and serve.

When a Police Officer gets involved in a Situation, the last thing they need is to be distracted by having to also remember to find and manually push a video recording Start button on a body-worn camera. Police officers should focus on the Situation at hand while staying as safe as possible, and not have to also think about being a videographer. Our philosophy is to never ask a Police Officer to manually do something that technology can do for them automatically.

Our Generation 2 BodyWorn™ camera can start video recording in multiple ways automatically. The Police Chief can decide recording Start and Stop policy software rules based upon GPS location, integration with Central Dispatch 911 systems, entry and exit from GeoFence zones, status of sensors in the vehicle, status of other nearby BodyWorn cameras, and/or officers running or getting involved in a struggle. Our BodyWorn camera then reliably follows the Chief’s recording policies. For example, our BodyWorn camera can detect combinations of factors such as the vehicle GPS speed = 0, the light bar is On, and the police car door opens. The BodyWorn camera software can then decide to automatically start video recording when these three conditions are met. The Officer can focus on the Situation with confidence the BodyWorn camera will start recording when the Department’s recording policy rules say it should. Lack of Distraction = Increased Police Officer Safety.
