It’s official, taxi aggregator Ola Cabs has acquired smaller rival TaxiForSure in a cash and stock deal worth $200 million. The deal could trigger a consolidation in this fast-growing online cab services space. Ola and TaxiForSure will continue to operate as separate entities, with all ofTaxiForSure’s 1,700 employees being retained. Ola’s Chief Operating Officer Arvind Singhal will take over as CEO of TaxiForSure. TaxiForSure co-founders will move to advisory roles.
