During the past three decades, Mr. Richard has held numerous global senior management positions across the OEM, Channels and End User markets, in the hardware, software and services field in Europe and the USA.
He started his career in IT with Informatique Haute Performance, Paris, France, a company he founded to address the burgeoning need for PC based computing in the 80’s. After selling his company to a European consortium, he became Vice President of Marketing with Metrologie International, Asnieres, France, then Vice President and Managing Director- Europe, Middle East and Africa for Conner Peripherals. Upon the acquisition of Conner Peripherals by Seagate, he became Vice President – EMEA Strategic accounts with Seagate Technology.
Since his move to the United States in the late nineties, Mr. Richard first served as Vice President Sales & Support WW Distribution & E-Business, IBM Technology Group, and was nominated to be a member of IBM’s top 300 executives group.
He left IBM to become Executive Vice President, WW Field Operations for WebGain, a privately held software company serving Fortune 500 companies. Upon the sale of WebGain, he joined Advanced Micro Devices where he became Executive Vice President and Chief Sales & Marketing Officer and led the success of the company in the server market. In 2007 he joined privately held Freescale Semiconductor in Austin TX, as Chief Sales & Marketing Officer and helped to successfully bring the company back to the public market in 2011.
In 2013, he took the responsibility to form the Worldwide Commercial Sales and Support organization at SanDisk Corporation in Milpitas CA as the Senior Vice President WW Sales and Support, and oversaw the rapid growth and diversification of this well known retail product company into the commercial space.
Mr. Richard’s academic credentials include a bachelor of Science from the Ecole Nationale de Radiotechnique et Elecronique Appliquee in Asnieres, France and a Masters Program in Sciences & Physics from the University Paris Jussieu.
